With the Texas women's basketball team's 59-46 win over TCU last night at the Erwin Center, the Longhorns are now definitely locked into the #8-seed vs. #9-seed game in the Big 12 Women's Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 8th at the American Airlines Center. The Longhorns will also definitely be playing Kansas State in the 1st Round, a team with whom Texas split its two regular-season games, each team winning at home. The difficult proposition for the winner of that game will be facing top-ranked Baylor in the Quarterfinals. The Lady Bears, who currently are the #1 team in the nation and should still be by the time they take the floor at the AAC to face the Texas-Kansas State winner, will have completed a perfect Big 12 Conference run and the defending national champs will be a prohibitive favorite to repeat as conference tourney champs.

We may know more about the Texas men's Big 12 bracket alignment following the Longhorns' game with Oklahoma tonight at the Erwin Center (7:30 PM airtime; 8:00 PM tipoff on The Zone).
